Paul was a K-12 science and digital media teacher at Kula High, Intermediate and Elementary on the north shore of Kauai and specializes in experiential snorkel field trips.  He was also the site coordinator for the first online school on Kauai: the Myron B. Thompson Academy. Paul’s business, Earth Surge, was the first Kauai business to provide biodegradable and compostable goods for local businesses. He spent 10 years as a captain leading snorkel tours on the Na Pali coast and Kona.  Paul is a PADI Divemaster and has worked as a scientific diver with the University of Hawai’i establishing Marine Protected Areas. On the island of St. John in the US Virgin Islands Paul ran Camp Hyatt and worked for a SCUBA dive shop at Caneel Bay.  During high school and college he taught gymnastics specializing in “tiny tots” and was also a lifeguard. Paul brings enthusiasm and knowledge to science excursions and the classroom.
